Drake is on set for “Childs Play” video

After shooting the video for “One Dance” in South Africa, Drake has come back to the United States and more specifically Houston to shoot the visuals for “Childs Play”.
Drake’s last album Views is a huge success made of several hits. From “Hotline Bling” to “Too Good” which is already played on radio, the rapper never stops from making you dance and sing along. Now he’s ready to make you spend some time watching his videos as he’ll be releasing two of them, one for “One Dance” shot in South Africa, and the other one for “Childs Play”.
For “Childs Play” video, Drake has decided to go back to the US, in Houston, Texas. It seems like it’s gonna be a little bit sexier than “One Dance” video since the rapper has been shooting at V Live, a strip club in the city, where he’d also have hosted a party. V Live welcomed him with a MVP trophy – nothing’s too good for Drizzy, Drake was also spotted at Cheesecake Factory restaurant he refers to in “Childs Play” when rapping: “Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake? / You know I love to go there / Say I’m actin’ lightskin, I can’t take you nowhere.” You must be patient before being able to see the result for “Childs Play” video, but the one for “One Dance” will surely be dropping very soon!

Brazil to boost Olympics security after Nice attack

Brazil's interim president will hold an emergency meeting with cabinet ministers Friday to bolster security for next month's Olympics, officials said after a suspected terrorist attack in the French city of Nice.
"We think we will have to intensify the security monitoring system. We will have to increase the number of checkpoints and controls," Defense Minister Raul Jungmann told TV station Globo.
Interim president Michel Temer's office said he would meet with his intelligence chief and defense and justice ministers at 4:00 pm (1900 GMT) in response to the Nice attack, which killed at least 84 people.
The attack, perpetrated with a 19-tonne truck, showed that "any tool, any instrument, any vehicle can be the vector of a terrorist act," said Jungmann.
The head of the intelligence service, Sergio Etchegoyen, said fears over security at the Rio de Janeiro Games, which open on August 5, had "gone up a notch" after the attack in France.
He said new security measures would include extra checkpoints, barricades and traffic restrictions.
"We're trading a little comfort for a lot more security," he told a press conference at the presidential offices.
Brazilian intelligence officials met with French counterparts Friday for a briefing on the Nice attack, he said.
The French resort city is in shock after a Tunisian-born man drove a white truck into a huge crowd gathered to watch the annual Bastille Day fireworks display, leaving a gruesome trail of bodies in his wake.
The attack triggered new fears in Brazil, already on alert after the French military intelligence chief said France had been informed of a planned terror attack on its team at the Rio Olympics.
In June, Brazil's intelligence service said it had detected Portuguese-language messages linked to the Islamic State group on an online forum.
An even more explicit warning came after bloody Islamist attacks in Paris last November, when a French jihadist tweeted that Brazil was the "next target."
Brazil plans to deploy 85,000 police and soldiers to provide security for the Olympics -- double the number used in the 2012 London Games.

The 26-year-old from Belarus said her baby is due towards the end of the year but that she intends to resume her career.
"While recovering from the knee injury I sustained at Roland Garros, I received news from my doctors that my boyfriend and I are going to become parents at the end of the year," Azarenka said in a statement on Twitter.
"We couldn't be happier and feel very blessed to begin this exciting journey of building a family together."
World number six Azarenka, who won the Australian Open in 2012 and 2013, pulled out of the French Open in her first round tie with a knee injury and hasn't played since.

Andriy Shevchenko named as new Ukraine

Former AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko was on Friday appointed coach of Ukraine, the 2004 Ballon d'Or winner's first job as a manager.
The 39-year-old replaces Mykhaylo Fomenko who resigned after Ukraine were knocked out of Euro 2016 without scoring a single goal.
The former Soviet republic's side was the first to be knocked out of the European championships after losing to Germany, Northern Ireland and Poland.
At his peak Shevchenko was renowned for his lightning counter attacks and clinical finishing and he was a prolific with Dynamo Kiev and AC Milan as he was for Ukraine, for whom he scored 48 times in 111 matches.
With AC Milan he won the Champions League in 2003 after a penalty shoot out win over Juventus, and clinched Serie A in 2004, when he was named European footballer of the year.
He had a less prolific two year spell at Chelsea, where he won the FA Cup and League Cup before returning to Dynamo Kiev, where he first shot to fame helping his side to five straight league titles from 1995.
The 39-year-old signed a two-year deal that may extend through to 2020. Its financial terms were not disclosed.
Shevchenko on Friday appointed former AC Milan defender Mauro Tassotti as one of his assistant coaches.

‘Many foreigners and children’ among Nice dead and injured

French President Francois Hollande said Friday that “many foreigners and young children” were among those killed or injured after the truck attack on a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, with around 50 fighting for their lives. “There are French among the victims and also many foreigners from every continent and many children, young children,” said a clearly moved Hollande in a speech from a hospital in the French Riviera city. “As I speak 84 people are dead, and around 50 are in a critical condition between life and death,” he added. Witnesses said a truck drove at speed into a crowd for two kilometres (1.3 miles) after around 30,000 people had been watching a fireworks display on France’s national day. Hollande previously described the attack on the palm-lined Promenade des Anglais as being of an “undeniable terrorist nature”.

K. Michelle gets roasted after attempting to speak “Nigerian”

In a video she posted on Instagram, R&B singer K. Michelle wanted to show she could speak “Nigerian” but ended up sounding ridiculous and not funny at all.
Oooops, it looks – and sounds – like K. Michelle made a huge mistake ! Yesterday the singer posted a video in which she said she was speaking “Nigerian”. But lemme tell you something, Kay: “Nigerian” isn’t a language, as Nigeria has tons of living languages with different names…
In the video, you can hear her talk about what she’s eating – great, K., but your “Nigerian accent” is kind of awkward, and everyone can notice it even if they don’t speak the language…
People were very petty in the comments – but at the same time so funny. You can read things like: “I love you k !! But you gotta get it together Nigerian ain’t a language”, “ain’t no Nigerian I heard here”, “sounds Jamaican”, “she sounds like she was auditioning for a Shakespeare play”… Ok, it’s true that she’s overdoing it. She tried to defend herself by writing in the caption: “All you school teachers who nobody loved calm down. Nigerian ISNT a language but it’s Nigerian Pidgin English. Stop talking to me. I promise I’m smarter than you”. FYI, Pidgin is a creole language mixing English and Portuguese and it’s spoken in Nigeria.
K. Michelle kept on giving her show and published two other videos. The last one was VERY embarrassing – it seems like the artist had been rehearsing for hours and now she’s finally reciting her lines. In the caption she even tagged American-Nigerian rapper Wale and used the Nigerian phrase “how far?” (meaning “what’s up?”) before she boasted: “I’m killing it huh?” Well we’re not so sure about it but at least you tried…

Six rules for wedding guests in Nigeria

Wedding ceremonies in Nigeria are great, especially ones organized in the western parts of the country. While a lot of the celebrants are expected to observe certain traditions and follow certain rules, the guests are not spared either, as there are certain etiquette rules they too have to abide by while attending the occasion. If you are visiting Nigeria and planning on attending a wedding, you are going to want to put your best foot forward. And that means getting well acquainted with what the rule book says. To give you a head start, Jumia Travel, Africa’s No.1 online hotel booking portal, shares 6 rules for wedding guests in Nigeria Do not wear any shade of white The general idea is that the brides wear white or shades of the colour, including ivory, cream e.t.c. You are not allowed to try and upstage the bride by wearing anything that is primarily white or a dress in a hue that is really close to white. You can however wear something with a touch of white, as long as the white does not dominate the ensemble. Actually, you are also not allowed to wear anything that will keep all attention on you rather than the bride. Stay away from plunging necklines, and thigh high slits. It is her day and it is important she has all the attention. Ensure you follow the couple’s photography and social media rules There are so many visual platforms now and users are always keen to upload photos of “awwh-worthy” moments to their social media platforms. While most couples will allow you to do just that at the wedding, ensure you do not trump either the bride or the groom in the photo. In other words, do not post a less-than-flattering photo of the bride even if you happen to look really cute. Again, remember to include the couples’ hashtags on all the wedding photos. If you aren’t sure what they want, just do not post anything. Also, try not to get in the way of the professional photographer who has actually been paid by the groom to take official photos of the wedding. Do not bring a Plus One on your discretion Unless there is a crystal-clear ‘plus one’ addendum on the invitation, please do not come with anyone else including your boyfriend, girlfriend, bestie or child. The couple makes their budget and plan according to the invitations sent out and affirmed, and so, bringing extra people just makes things a lot more difficult as regards seating and catering. Take a gift to the wedding The norm for Nigerians is to go to the wedding, dance eat and go home. Unless they are related to the bride or groom, they hardly attend with a gift. A few , especially those in Lagos, justify not gifting the bride and groom with the excuse that they paid forAsoebi or they will spray cash on the dance floor, but should that suffice? Unless the invitation specifies “no gifts”, it is important that you take a gift in honor of your invitation. Great thing is that you have up to about 6 months to give the bride/groom a wedding present, so if you miss your chance at the wedding itself, you can still send them something. Go easy on Souvenirs Souvenir time is always a bit chaotic in Nigerian weddings. No matter how negligible the package or empty the goodie bag, wedding guests tend to see it as a gold medal and go extra lengths to secure even more than one for themselves. Some people even now take some part of the decoration, like a floral arrangement or centerpiece on the table, home. It is important to note that weddings are not a grab and go opportunity. Wait for your turn when souvenirs are being distributed and if you see something on the table you want to take home, ensure you ask the bride or groom or wedding planner first. Attend every second of the wedding ceremony The norm in Nigeria is that wedding guests skip the church ceremony and just go to the reception event as they never want to sit through that long religious ceremony. This is not an acceptable practice though, as the couple who sent you an invitation expect you to join them for the full experience. A ceremony and reception go hand in hand. You may think the bride and groom will not notice, but the truth is that they remember who shows up and who does not…and remember those who leave early too.

N4.7bn cash: How Department of State Service arrested Obanikoro’s wife

The Department of State Service DSS, yesterday, arrested the wife of the former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, over ongoing investigations into how her husband and two sons collected and laundered over N4.7 billion from the national treasury in 2014.
The DSS had been working in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to track the movement of Obanikoro and his associates linked with the transfer of the huge sum from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, to firms linked to them. Competent security source told the media that Mrs. Obanikoro, whose husband was declared wanted only last month, was arrested in her Lagos home as she allegedly attempted to make away with vital documents related to the N4.7 billion case. The woman, according to the source, allegedly sneaked into Nigeria with the sole aim of ‘evacuating incriminating documents’ from her home only to be whisked away by eagle-eyed security men who had been trailing her as she arrived the country from abroad where she was staying with her husband and children. It was learned that the assistance of the DSS was sought to arrest Mrs. Obanikoro as a result of the large number of armed policemen guiding her and her home in Lagos. “The truth is that she had so many policemen around her and we decided to seek the support of a sister agency to arrest her as she came in to clear the ‘cobweb’,” a top source explained last night. It will be recalled that operatives of the EFCC had on June 14 raided Obanikoro’s Lagos home in continuation of investigation into the N4.7 billion that was traced to two of his sons. The amount in question was paid in many tranches from the ONSA account with the CBN into Sylvan McNamara Limited in Diamond Bank with account No. 0026223714, which they allegedly have interest. Of interest to the EFCC is the fact that all the transfers were done between June and December 2014, a period that coincided with the preparation for the Ekiti governorship poll which brought Governor Ayodele Fayose into office. A breakdown of the payment showed that the sum of N200 million was transferred into Sylvan Mc Namara’s account on June 5, 2015, while N2 billion was also wired into the account from the CBN/ Imprest Main account on June 16, 2016. Similarly, another transfer of N700 million landed on the account on July 7, 2014, while N1 billion was credited to the account on July 30, 2014. Other inflows into the account in question were: N160 million on August 8, 2014; N225 million on August 22, 2014; N200 million on November 14, 2014 and N200 million on December 5, 2014. “Both Gbolahan and Babajide Obanikoro, directors of the company, were also signatories to its account until 2014 when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made sole signatory to the account. EFC is furious that the payments to the company from the office of the National Security Adviser were made without any valid contract between it and the Federal Government.

Arsenal & Man Utd Target To Undergo Chelsea Medical After Blues Agree £30m Deal

The opening of the summer transfer window is now open for business so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea close-in on N’Golo Kante…

Chelsea have won the race ahead of Arsenal and Man Utd to sign N’Golo Kante with the midfielder set to undergo a medical after the Blues agree a deal worth £30m with Leicester City, according to French outlet RMC Sport.
Kante’s future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months after the midfielder helped Leicester secure a shock Premier League title win following his move from Caen 12 months ago.
The French international was a key driving force behind the Foxes success last season but he has snubbed the chance to sign an improved contract at the King Power in favour of securing a big-money move this summer.
A number of top clubs throughout Europe have been linked with Kante and the Telegraph claimed earlier this week that Chelsea had stepped up their interest amid competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
The Gunners have already brought in Granit Xhaka this summer while Jose Mourinho’s focus appears to be on luring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford so it’s no surprise that Chelsea have shown the most serious interest in Kante of the three English heavy-weights.
The Blues had initially hoped to land the 25-year-old for just £20m due to a buyout clause in his contract but the Telegraph claim that Chelsea have had to go beyond that figure after Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG tabled a whopping £35m bid.
The terms of the clause state that Leicester can accept any figure beyond £20m so Chelsea have had to negotiate and RMC Sport claim that the Blues have now agree a fee worth £30m (€36m) with the Foxes.

The French outlet say that Kante will undergo his medical within the next 48 hours before signing a five-year contract and this information appears to be supported by the Telegraph who also claim today that the deal is expected to go through over the weekend.
Assuming there are no last minute problems, Kante should be a Chelsea player by the Sunday evening and he’ll become Antonio Conte’s second major signing of the summer following the arrival of striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.

The protesting villagers took the three recovered dead bodies to the palace of the District Head of Girei, Dr Ahmed Ibrahim chanting war songs. The protesting communities also marched to the Adamawa State Police Command Headquarters to complain. Receiving the protesters, Adamawa Police image maker, Othman Abubakar promised that the command in conjunction with other security agencies would ensure peace returned to the area.

Lagos Nigeria: How widow lures schoolgirls into prostitution during school hours

A widow, who was paraded by Lagos State Police Command alongside some criminals for allegedly recruiting young schoolgirls as commercial sex workers in a hotel in Surulere area of the state during school hours, has denied the charge.

The suspect, identified as Chinonso Okolokwo, said she was a commercial sex worker at the said hotel located at Ikate area of Surulere. Briefing newsmen on her arrest, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, disclosed that the suspect’s method was to lure the students from different secondary schools around Surulere to the hotel. Okolokwo, according to the CP, would give the students clothes to change into and use them as sex slaves until school closing hours. Some of the students, as gathered, went home with between N1,000 and N2,000, depending on the number of men they attended to. But the amount, it was learned, was just 10 percent of what was paid by their male customers, while the rest was allegedly pocketed by their managers, among who is Okolokwo. Suspect’s story Speaking with the Media, Okolokwo who is from Ebonyi State, said: “I do not know anything about the schoolgirls. I am also a ‘hustler’ at Sunderland Hotel. I took to prostitution after the death of my husband 11 years ago. I have four children, but two died before my husband. “I lodged at the hotel for a week or two before going home to take care of my children with the proceeds. Several girls from Abuja and other parts of the country come there to hustle as well. “Police raided the hotel and arrested me. I am not connected with what they alleged.” Owoseni said investigation was still ongoing to ascertain whether there was connivance between management of the hotel, the schools authorities, the suspect and her fleeing cohorts.

Chelsea set fixed price for Juventus target

Juventus would happily take Juan Cuadrado on-loan for another season, although Chelsea have now slapped a large price tag on the Colombian
Juan Cuadrado looks unlikely to return to Juventus next season, with Chelsea insisting that the Bianconeri fork out a large transfer sum for the winger. Although both the Old Lady and Cuadrado himself would consider another year’s loan in Turin, it has been claimed that owner Roman Abramovich wants €30 million for the 28-year-old, as well as a permanent solution to the player’s future.
The Blues have weighed up the possibility of going for Lazio‘s Antonio Candreva, a player who coach Antonio Conte is extremely familiar with, should Cuadrado depart Stamford Bridge. Yet, on the current terms, it will be difficult for the former Fiorentina man to make the move back to Serie A. What’s more however, is that increasing interest in Candreva from Inter is hindering Chelsea’s chances of securing his signature in the event of Cuadrado’s departure. Signed by the Blues in 2015 for €30 million, the Colombian international has only made 15 appearances for the London club. He did nonetheless, impress for the Bianconeri last season, scoring four goals and contributing six assists in 28 Serie A outings.

Robbery: Consul-Gen Uche Ajulu-Okeke Warn Nigerians travelling to South Africa

Johannesburg(South Africa)–Nigeria`s Consul-General in South Africa, Uche Ajulu-Okeke, on Thursday urged Nigerians travelling to South Africa to be cautious of taxis they board on arrival in that country. Okeke said in Johannesburg, South Africa, that the Consulate had received reports from 17 Nigerians robbed on arrival at the Oliver Thambo International Airport since the beginning of the year. “ These robbery attacks have put the mission in a lot of problems. “ The president`s aide on NEPAD arrived in South Africa, boarded a taxi recommended by the NEPAD Secretariat and was robbed at gun point a few meters away from the airport, ” she said. She also cited the robbing of a top Nigerian cosmetologist who recently arrived in South Africa to show case the use of traditional Nigerian cosmetics and improved local value of Shea Butter. “ She was robbed at gun point with her husband after a car crossed their path in front of their hotel and took away all they had,” she said. The ambassador stated that another Nigerian couple robbed few metres from the airport became traumatised when they got to the mission. “ When they came to the mission, they could not talk, the wife was traumatised. “ We had to buy them new clothes, opened their e-mail and informed the company they came to see that they lost everything,” she said. Ajulu-Okeke said the robbers often carted away everything from their victims and dump the passengers on the way. He urged Nigerians coming to South Africa to make arrangements for people to receive them. “ Do not enter the local airport taxis because some of them are into unholy alliance with hoodlums to rob people who come to South Africa for legitimate business,” she said. The ambassador said the mission was worried that there could be other cases not reported, saying many had been reported to the police for action. “ We are working hard here to promote business relations between our two countries and there are more than 30,000 South Africans living in Nigeria and nothing like this happens to them,” she said. Ajulu Okeke urged security agencies in South Africa to check the activities of the hoodlums.

Presidential election in Ghana may be delayed by a month

Ghana’s presidential election may be delayed by a month, the head of the country’s electoral body has said, after wranglings over voter registration. Nationwide polls in which President John Dramani Mahama is seeking re-election were scheduled to be held on November 7 — a month earlier than initially planned. But the director of electoral services at the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Samuel Tettey, said the election could be on either date. “In case 7th November goes through we can go by it. If not and it’s 7th December, we can go by that,” he told a news conference in the capital, Accra, on Wednesday. “So, both dates are possible but we are working towards 7th November general elections.” The lack of clarity over a date comes after 56,000 names were deleted from the electoral register after individuals used national health insurance scheme cards as proof of identity. Ghana’s political opposition had complained of possible fraud, as health insurance card holders do not necessarily have to be Ghanaian citizens. The New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is looking to unseat Mahama after five years in office, complained the register was bloated with names of foreigners and minors. The Supreme Court was asked to rule on the matter and last week ordered the 56,000 names to be expunged. Chief Justice Georgina Wood said the register in its current form was “reasonably inaccurate”. Re-registration of those affected will begin on Monday and last for 10 days, Tettey told reporters.

Gbaramatu women give FG 7days ultimatum to release their children

WARRI- WOMEN of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, have carried out a peaceful protest in Warri, calling for the release of the 10 students arrested and detained by soldiers, over 47 days ago, when they invaded Oporoza on grounds that they were militants.

The women joined by the National Association of Gbaramatu Students, NAGS, gave the Federal Government a one- week ultimatum to release the students, threatening to march on the Presidency in Abuja if the students were not released. The protest came as the Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI and Ijaw Human Rights Monitor, IHRM, decried the continued detention ‎of the suspects without trial. Placard-carrying Gbaramatu women led by Chief (Mrs.) Vero Tangnowei chanted solidarity songs calling for the release of the students. Some of the placards bore inscriptions such as: “This is pure oppression, stop labeling them as members of NDA,” “This is wickedness taken too far,” “This is nothing but high level impunity,” “46 days on nowhere to be found,” “Mr. President, Free our sons now,” “Fr‎ee our sons”, “ Mr. President, where are my brothers” and “ We need them back in school.” Other inscriptions were “Free our students,” “Mr. President, free our brothers, time is running out”, “They are not NDA, they are students of Gbaramatu Grammar School Oporoza,” “Let peace reign,” “Just Bring Back our sons alive”, “10 boys are still in detention,” and “Free our brothers, they are the future.” The protesters accused the military of arresting, framing and taking the 10 students into custody under the guise of being militants for more than one and half months running. Tangbowei stated that the Gbaramatu Kingdom has no knowledge of the whereabouts of the 10 students, adding: “Let me take this medium to tell Buhari and his group of people that we give them only one week to bring back our children , if they do not want to bring our children, as their mothers, we will march to Abuja so that he can kill of us.” ‎ She debunked the claim that the 10 arrested ‎students were members of Niger Delta Avengers, noting that they are students of Gbaramatu Grammar School, Oporoza as well as stewards to the Gbaramatu Traditional Council. Similarly, the Assistant National Secretary, NAGS, Freeborn Abraye, lamented that the students missed their writing the 2016 West African Examination, WAEC, adding: “Our students are suffering from what they know nothing about. They do not have any clue of what is going on this country. What we are telling the government is that they should release our students.” “Those boys are not Niger Delta Avengers. They are pure students of Gbaramatu Grammar School, Oporoza. So, we appealing to the government to look into this matter critically and release them immediately.” Mrs. Endurance Oyatiedei whose 17-year- old only son, Friday, was among the suspects, ‎said her son could not write WAEC examination because of the arrest and appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to release him. Mrs. Ruona Odiki expressed sadness over the invasion and detention of the Gbaramatu Students, including her brother-inlaw just as she appealed to the Federal Government to ensure the safe release of the 10 students. The 10 Gbaramatu students allegedly arrested 47 days ago during the military invasion of Oporoza include were Ebi Emma (SS1 Student, Gbaraun Grammar School, Oporoza),Philip (Palace Cook) Andrew (Palace driver) and Tebe-ebi ( Palace tailor). Others were Emotimifagha (student of Gbaraun Grammar School, Oporoza) John (Student of Gbaraun Grammar School, Oporoza) Solomon teiwei (Student of Gbaraun Grammar School, Oporoza) Oromoni (Community boy) ,God’spower Abraham (Student of Gbaraun Grammar School, Oporoza) and Bright (mechanic). National presidents of IPDI and IHRM, Austin Ozobo and Fred Brisibe respectively, said the arrest of innocent students by government indicates intelligence failure on the part of government, while their continued detention without being charged to court showed its impunity and unwillingness to resolve the matter.

Conte sets his stamp over Chelsea already

After his time with Italy came to an end following Euro 2016, Antonio Conte began his new job as Chelsea coach, with his first training session on Wednesday.

“When he speaks, listen to him” was the advice from faithful lieutenant Leonardo Bonucci, “and do not argue.”
Those words of wisdom are well-founded, and already Conte has begun to assert his authority on his new charges. Their first training session was a double ibe and it may well not be the last time that happens.
“Be prepared to slog,” Conte told his players, “this will be the hardest summer of your lives.”
With Bonucci’s future still undecided, his projected move to Manchester City in doubt, he found himself talking about his former boss at both Juventus and Italy.
“In Italy,” he continued, “we nicknamed Conte the Godfather. His impact on the Premier League will be immediate. Nobody gave Italy a chance at the European Championship, but we only lost to the world champions after penalties.
“Antonio loves leaders but he will not tolerate players thinking they are more important than him. He is the boss and if you listen to him, you will see he is one of the best coaches in football.”
Chelsea will soon get to put that theory to the test. Conte is set to be unveiled on Thursday ahead of the team travelling to Austria later in the day. There they will play Rapid Vienna on Saturday, before going to the United States for more friendlies.
The games against Liverpool, Milan and Real Madrid will prepare the Blues for the first real test, the opening match of the season, against West Ham United, on August 15.
He will be able to call upon new striker Michy Batshuayi, joined from Marseille, and possibly N’Golo Kante, for whom Chelsea have agreed a deal with Leicester City.
With the likes of Radja Nainggolan, Joao Mario and Andre Gomes also on his shopping list, it looks to be a busy summer at Stamford Bridge, where one of Conte’s first tasks may be dissuading Cesc Fabregas from moving to Manchester United.
It promises to be an interesting month.

Bey and Jay are the world’s highest-paid celebrity couple of 2016

Forbes magazine has just released its annual list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities and the carter earned more money than any other celebrity couple this year !
We know Beyoncé and Jay Z make a lot of money. But last time they were named highest-paid celebrity couple was back in 2013. Three years later, the dynamic duo is now back at the top. Several things helped the two stars reach that spot. Jay Z celebrated his music streaming service Tidal’s first anniversary and the platform is so successful that Apple might be interesting in buying it from Hova. Beyoncé on her side, has released her visual album Lemonade and has started a lucrative world tour.
According to Forbes magazine, who has just put out a list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities of 2016; Beyoncé and Jay Z’s combined income is $107,5 million. The singer ranks better than her husband Jay Z, landing the #34 spot with $54 million earned while Hova stands two ranks below with $53,5 million.
The release of Lemonade, Beyoncé’s album, has of course been a good source of revenue for the couple. Making it exclusively available on Tidal, Jay Z has seen the numbers of suscribers increased. A formula that the couple might reiterate in 2017, with the release of a joint album.
Music isn’t the only source of income for the Carters, Jay Z has Roc Nation and his luxury alcohol brands while his spouse launched Ivy Park, a sportswear line last April. See, working with the family is not too bad after all

An African leader doing the continent proud

Malawi’s new president, Joyce Banda has decided to sell the country’s £8.4m presidential jet and fleet of 60 Mercedes government cars.

Joyce Banda, who came to power in April after the death of Bingu wa Mutharika, recognised the importance of curtailing government exuberance, a problem that is endemic in so many nations across the African continent. By ridding the state of these liabilities which benefit so few and rinse the the state coffers by so much, Joyce Banda can now start to focus on bringing Malawi’s budget
deficit into surplus.
Last month Banda was said in the local press saying that she had no problem “offloading it (the jet) as I can well use private airliners; I am already used to hitchhiking”.
Mutharika, the previous president bought the presidential jet in 2009, claiming it was less expensive than leasing an airplane every time he travelled. He subsequently came under fire for this claim and was also condemned for purchasing a 58-room mansion in his home district and granting his wife a salary.
This positive regime change has been welcomed by western countries such as Britain, whose high commissioner was expelled by Mutharika for branding him “autocratic and intolerant of criticism”. As a result, in May this year Britain pledged £23m to help stabilise a moribund Malawian economy and £10m will be given to boost the country’s health system.
Here at Naijaviral we say, keep up the good work Joyce, and may this altruistic style of state governance prevail across the continent in the future.

“You have all agreed to join me and work as agents of change, the challenge before all of us therefore is translating the change into reality.
“I, therefore, wish to call on every one to think closely about the Nigerian situation.
“There is no easy money to throw around, we must go back to farming, livestock rearing so that we could develop the industries.
“We must put our hands on deck to ensure success of our mission in engineering Nigeria.
“If efforts were made in the past to diversify the economy from our absolute reliance on a single commodity, we would not have found ourselves in our current situation.
“I assure all Nigerians that the grim economic situations are passing phase which all societies go through.”
He vowed that his administration would enthrone good governance through vigorous prosecution of the ongoing war against corruption in the country.
“We shall continue to prosecute the war against corruption. We do not wish or desire to humiliate or disgrace anybody, but we must recover stolen funds and put them to collective public use,” he said.
In his remarks, Governor Abdulaziz Yari, said the construction of the roads was part of the state government’s efforts to open up the rural areas, especially being an agrarian state .

Photos; Snoop Dogg’s son has become the dream boy of every girl on the Internet!

Cordell Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s son broke the Internet after he posted a photo of his hot body on Snapchat. Girls were so enthusiastic they didn’t hesitate to comment about his BIG physical assets!
Who knew that Snoop Dogg had four sons and that one of them is a VERY good-looking man? It seems like Cordell Broadus, 19, is bae of the day. The young man had already posted some photos of his six-pack abs on Instagram but he did better than that when he posted this one on Snapchat:

It was enough to set the Internet on fire. Apparently Whilelmina Models has also been seduced by Cordell since he is signed to the famous model agency. He joins other celebs such as Karrueche Tran, Iggy Azalea or Kendall Jenner who also got a contract with it.
Cordell’s body got the girls crazy, not only because of his muscles but also – and especially – because they noticed something quite outstanding in his pants…

Popular pop star Ne-Yo buys a second house for his mother!

Ne-Yo was afraid his mother wouldn’t have enough room in her 6-bedroom mansion so he decided to buy a second house for her. She really has the sweetest son!
You know you’re a good son when you don’t rely exclusively on Mother’s Day to shower your mom with gifts. Young Thug got the message and apparently Ne-Yo too. The singer buys a $300,000 house in Mableton, Georgia to his mother, Harriet Loraine Burts.
Harriet is a spoiled mum – she’s not moving, she’s just getting a second home! She already has a $550,000 mansion in Alpharetta, Georgia that Ne-Yo bought her back in 2012. This one has six bedrooms and the new one only three, but at least she will be closer to her son who lives in Atlanta.

Jaden Smith explains why he wears skirts

In a recent interview Jaden Smith explained why he gives so much importance to wearing women clothes. The 17-year-old teenager spoke his mind in a very mature fashion.

Whether it is in the music, cinema or fashion industry, Will Smith’s son Jaden has brought something authentic to the game, but even more when it comes to fashion. Why? Because Jaden Smith raised some eyebrows when he appeared in a Louis Vuitton campaign wearing a skirt.

Now Jaden covers Nylon magazine and becomes the first young man ever to do so. On this occasion he took time to talk about his own vision regarding fashion.
Jaden explains that men wearing skirts should be regarded as something normal and by doing so, he will help people change their attitudes and thus make it easier for young boys to wear skirts: “So, you know, in five years when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won’t get beat up and kids won’t get mad at him. It just doesn’t matter. I’m taking the brunt of it so that later on, my kids and the next generations of kids will all think that certain things are normal that weren’t expected before my time.”

Jaden wants to break the rules. He thinks being gender fluid will help raise awareness. He told the magazine about his Louis Vuitton campaign, “It was lit because we all knew that we were going to impact the culture and change the game and make a difference.” Jaden remains realistic but he’s determined: “The world is going to keep bashing me for whatever I do, and I’m going to keep not caring. I’m going to keep doing the same things—I’m going to keep doing more things. I’m going to take most of the blows for my fellow MSFTS” (MSFTS stands for “misfits” and it’s also the name of his clothing line).

What do you think of his declarations?

Theresa May formally appointed British prime minister by the Queen

© Dominic Lipinski, POOL, AFP |Incoming British Prime Minister Theresa May (pictured left) kneels as she is greeted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in central London on July 13, 2016

Theresa May replaced David Cameron as Britain’s prime minister on Wednesday, assuming responsibility for the monumental task of negotiating a complex divorce from the European Union.

According to news wires today on  france24.com Cameron stepped down after Britons rejected his entreaties and voted to leave the EU in a referendum last month, severely undermining European efforts to forge greater unity and creating economic uncertainty across the 28-nation bloc.
May, 59, assumed office after an audience with Queen Elizabeth. An official photograph showed her curtseying and shaking hands with the smiling monarch, for whom she is the 13th prime minister in a line that started with Winston Churchill.
She is also Britain’s second female head of government after Margaret Thatcher.
She must try to limit the damage to British trade and investment as she renegotiates the country’s ties with its 27 EU partners. She will also attempt to unite a divided ruling Conservative party and a fractured nation in which many, on the evidence of the vote, feel angry with the political elite and left behind by the forces of globalisation.

EU leaders, keen to move forward after the shock of "Brexit", want May to launch formal divorce proceedings as soon as possible to help resolve the uncertainty.
But she has said the process should not be launched before the end of year, to give time for Britain to draw up its negotiating strategy.
Although she favoured Britain remaining in Europe, May has repeatedly declared that “Brexit means Brexit” and that there can be no attempt to reverse the referendum outcome.
The shock vote partly reflected discontent with EU rules on freedom of movement that have contributed to record-high immigration - an issue on which May, as interior minister for the past six years, is politically vulnerable.
But EU leaders have made clear that free movement is a fundamental principle that goes hand-in-hand with access to the bloc’s tariff-free single market, a stance that will hugely complicate May’s task in hammering out new terms of trade.
“My advice to my successor, who is a brilliant negotiator, is that we should try to be as close to the European Union as we can be for the benefits of trade, cooperation and of security,” Cameron told parliament in his last appearance before resigning.
Appearing later in Downing Street with his wife Samantha and their three children, he delivered his parting remarks to the nation after six years dominated by the Europe question and the aftermath of the global financial crisis.
“It’s not been an easy journey and of course we’ve not got every decision right,” he said, “but I do believe that today our country is much stronger.”
In parliament, Cameron took the opportunity to trumpet his government’s achievements in generating one of the fastest growth rates among western economies, chopping the budget deficit, creating 2.5 million jobs and legalising gay marriage.
Yet his legacy will be overshadowed by his failed referendum gamble, which he had hoped would keep Britain at the heart of a reformed EU.

Oritse Femi to headline July Afropolitan Vibes concert

Last month at the concert saw performances by pop artist Sean Tizzle, St Janet, and the German singer of contemporary Nigerian pop songs Niki Tall.
This month’s performers were announced late with the organisers needing to issue a note on social media on Monday, four days before the event proper, assuring its followers that even with “the line-up confirmation still to come…the party will happen.”
About 24 hours later, the notice of headliners was made public. “Come and join the party at Freedom Park this Friday,” read the concert’s Facebook page. “We are very pleased to announce that joining Bantu at Afropolitan Vibes this Friday July 15th are: afropop singer Oritse Femi, dancehall/reggae singer General Pype, afropop artist Koker, female drum & vocal ensemble Squad 1 Productions.”

If that edition saw the performance of old tunes courtesy of Okri, July’s performers will treat attendees to entirely contemporary songs. With Oritse Femi expected to perform ‘Double Wahala’ from his MSN album. Koker’s recent hit song ‘Kole Werk’ will be expected as will General Pype’s ‘Champion’, which was released in 2009 as a tribute to the Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt.

Senate threatens Buhari with impeachment as Melaye threatens to beat up Tinubu

According to Henry Umoru & Joseph Erunke on www.vanguardngr.com  ABUJA- STRONG indications emerged Tuesday that the alleged forgery case of 2015 Standing Order between the Senate and the presidency has taken a different dimension as the Senate was said to have threatened President Muhammadu Buhari with impeachment. Part of this was when the Executive session of the Senate Tuesday went rowdy as it almost became a free for all between the Chairman, Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Dino Melaye, All Progressives Congress, APC, Kogi West and the Chairman, Women Affairs, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, APC, Lagos Central. Soon after resumption Tuesday from its two weeks break, the Senate went into a closed door session which lasted for one to discuss among others, how to move the rd chambers forward, devoid of crisis, just as the meeting was designed to bury the hatchet among members where those with cases against the leadership of the Senate would withdraw for peace to return to the upper chambers. At the meeting, the mood of well over ninety percent of the senators was to suspend those ‘ erring’ members in the Senate Unity Forum, SUF who have dragged the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and others to court over alleged forgery of the 2015 Senate Standing Order. A senator who spoke with Vanguard said that the mood of the Senate was for the suspension of those senators and for the upper chambers to prove the supremacy of the legislature as well as teach the presidency and the executive a lesson that the National Assembly and the Senate in particular be left to carry out its legislative duties effectively without any interference. According to the Senator, the Upper chambers resolved that there was no case of forgery of the Standing Orders and asked that those involved should withdraw the case from the court.
